EDPM Roof System

EPDM flat roofing is a rubber membrane cover that is made using a 100% cured synthetic rubber Ethylene, Propylene, Diene and Monomer.

EPDM is highly flexible and it can elongate over 300% without cracking. This flexibility also enables the membrane to adapt to the irregular shape of a roof and allow for building movement.

Dept is in the range of 1.14mm to 1.52mm. The membrane is fully adhered to the substrate using a cold applied adhesive. EPDM is an inert material with limited environmental impact during manufacture and use.

The membrane is also resistant to ozone, UV radiation and high or low temperatures.

We are a registered contractor for Firestone EDPM.

Insulated Cladding

We also fit insulated wall composite panels. They comprise two skins of metal (or aluminum) but with rigid polyurethane insulation factory bonded to the steel faces eliminating the possibility of cold spots and condensation.

They can be utilized on roofs or cladding (fixed horizontal or vertical), and are available in different thicknesses to attain the required “U” value. They are available in many diverse colours and contours.

They are extremely adaptable and are able to be used in an assortment of purposes to meet compulsory stipulations and value: e.g. impact resistance, fire ratings and weight concerns.

Composite panels are made by merging countless glass strands with pigmented thermo-set UV resins, to create an enormously tough and hard wearing panel whilst preserving an eye-catching façade.

We install Euroclad, Kinsgpan or Tegral Insulated Panels.

Liquid Membranes

Liquid membranes are cold applied systems used for waterproofing and surfacing. They have a varied array of uses such as roofing, tanking, water features, wet rooms, balconies, floors, car parks and decorative surfacing.

Liquid membranes are cold applied and the application can be carried out using a spray machine or hand applied. Some systems will require a curing period between stages of application. As a cold applied system it sets as a single fully-bonded membrane with no joints or seams.

Surface finishes vary and there are a variety of different colours available.

We are registered contractors and have been approved to install the following roofing systems

  • IKO – Polimar
  • Moy – Kemperol
  • Soprema – Alsan
  • Stirling Lloyd – Integritank

Single ply membranes are rubber-like waterproofing sheets generally defined as either a Thermoplastic or Elastomeric. They are an extremely versatile waterproofing solution for new build and refurbishment projects.

With a proven track record across Europe dating back 40 years and boasting a number of unique qualities, particularly when weight and load bearings limits are an important consideration.

Dept is in the range of 1.1mm to 2mm. Single ply membranes may be installed fully adhered or mechanically fastened. More recent innovations such as coloured membranes and factory produced roof profiles provide the appearance of traditional roofing systems such as lead and copper.

Single ply roofs don’t necessarily need additional surface materials because they are compounded with additives such as UV stabilizers.

We are registered contractors and have been approved to install the following Single Ply roofing systems

  • Colas PVC Membranes
  • IKO PVC Membranes
  • Sika PVC Membranes
  • Soprema PVC Membranes

Mastic Asphalt Roof System

Mastic asphalt roofing systems have a long and successful history as a robust waterproofing medium for flat roofs, basements and foundations as well as a surfacing material for floors, pavements, car parks and bridge decks.

It is heated to aprox. 254°C for it become plyable. It is then put into asphalt buckets tipped onto the work surface and laid to existing levels using a purpose made timber float. It is laid in 2 coats. As it is in molten form when applied, it can be dressed around rooflights, pipes etc without any difficulty.

Asphalt is naturally black. Once applied and cured it should then be protected from UV rays. This can be achieved using solar reflective paint, spa chippings or ballast. Promenade tiles or paving slabs can be laid as an option for walkways, balconies or patio’s.

We have our own Manufacturing Facility in conjunction with being a registered Contractor for

  • IKO’s Polymer Modified Asphalt.
